Local OCR for PDF and images

How does OCR work?
- Upload a PDF or image and choose the OCR language.
- For PDFs, each page is rendered to canvas in the browser and then passed to OCR.
- For images, the file goes directly to OCR without server upload.
- Copy the text or save it as a plain .txt file.
Are files uploaded to a server?
The document stays on your device. OCR runs in the browser, so the file itself is not sent to SparkToolbox servers.

FAQ
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes. The PDF pages are rendered to images in the browser and then recognized with OCR.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Files are processed locally in the browser. They are not uploaded to a server during OCR.
What language should I choose?
Use Polish for Polish documents, English for English ones, and Polish + English if the file mixes both languages.
Why is the result imperfect?
OCR depends heavily on scan quality, font clarity, blur and contrast. Clean scans with readable text usually work much better than dark photos or tiny screenshots.
